Senior Program Coordinator

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Network Building

  • Collaborate with the Program Manager to build relationships with national/district authorities, NGOs, and partners to support scale and sustainability of the National Child Friendly Library (NCFL) model.

Data Collection & Reporting

  • Ensure all data from MEL, Liaison, and Operations is complete and updated.
  • Consolidate quarterly reports (progress, challenges, lessons, stories).

Budgeting & Procurement

  • Oversee National Child Friendly Library (NCFL) budget and track expenditures.
  • Provide monthly financial updates.
  • Lead procurement processes for vendors when necessary.

NCFL Program Implementation

  • Provide overall leadership for National Child Friendly Library (NCFL) implementation across districts.
  • Consolidate all reports and updates from Liaison, MEL, and Operations Coordinators.
  • Oversee quality of Field Coordinator (FC) mentoring, school visits, pendamping support, and milestone achievement.
  • Review and validate program data, documentation, and progress submitted by all coordinators.
  • Identify implementation challenges and coordinate solutions with FCs, IPs, and partners.
  • Ensure program activities align with Room to Read’s Child-Friendly Library standards.
  • Document best practices and lessons learned for scale and sustainability.

Field Coordination & Support

  • Coordinate closely with Field Coordinators (FCs) to ensure timely achievement of program milestones.
  • Act as mentors and facilitators for FCs, providing guidance on school visits, pendamping coaching, and problem-solving.
  • Troubleshoot issues raised by Pendamping and provide actionable guidance or escalate to Lead if needed.
  • Collect data and documentation from FCs, verify completeness and accuracy, and analyze where required.
  • Track and monitor school-level implementation progress using agreed-upon tools.
  • Record best practices, success stories, challenges, and learning insights from the field.
  • Maintain strong communication loops between FCs, Implementing Partners, and the Lead Coordinator.
  • Ensure that child protection, MEL, operational, and library quality standards are always followed in the field.

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Minimum bachelor degree with min. GPA 3.30, preferably in Education Management or related major;
  2. Having minimum 3 years of working experiences in coordinator level;
  3. Ability to work based on deadlines and deliver tasks within specific timeframes.
  4. Good capacity in strategic thinking while keep focus on project goals and outcomes;
  5. Having experiences as trainer for adults; preferably having experiences in teaching in primary schools and/or good understanding of the primary school curriculum and management; 
  6. Able to learn quickly, good initiative, well-organized, and able to identify problems and propose practical solutions;
  7. Demonstrated technical skills in project, budget and resources management;
  8. Demonstrated skills in communication, teamwork and developing networks with education stakeholders;
  9. Strong team player and good interpersonal skills;
  10. Computer proficiency in general office software (i.e. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Internet); 
  11. Understanding use of digital technology and teachers’ needs in using technology effectively, with emphasis on zoom application.
